Through our affiliation with Saxquest and our years of dealing with clarinet players, Clarinetquest has a huge customer base of professional, amateur and student clarinetists and teachers throughout the USA and across the globe. We’re being asked on a daily basis to help people find good quality used instruments. As such, we can help you find a good home for your clarinet and help maximize your return.

We make consignment simple and easy at Clarinetquest!

• Click here to fill out our simple consignment form where you can tell us about your instrument including the price you’d like to get for it. If you’re unsure of pricing, just ask and we’re happy to help.
• Once we’ve had a chance to review your information, you'll receive an email from us detailing the next steps to take. We will go over pricing, repair options if applicable, and other pieces of information related to your sale. We may perhaps request photos.
• Once your consignment is accepted, our confirmation email will provide you with shipping instructions (this is your only cost).
• Our commission on instrument consignment sales is between 15%-20% (depending on value of the instrument) of the selling price minus other expenses related to repair (if applicable). All mouthpiece consignments are at 20%.
• Repair work will only be suggested if we feel it will either significantly increase the selling price or speed up the time frame of the sale or both. If repair work is suggested, the fee for such repair work will be taken out of the final disbursement check to the seller once the horn sells. In this manner, the seller is not out of pocket for any expense before the sale. Any repair work will be preapproved by the owner prior to any actual work being completed.
• If at any time you want your instrument back, simply ask and we'll have it shipped back to you immediately. You will be responsible for all shipping expenses and for any repair work that was done, if applicable.
• Please be mindful that we can’t guarantee a sale date but we anticipate a 30-60 day time frame. The instrument will be fully insured at the high-end appraised value while in our possession and/or in transit.
• A check will usually be cut 10-15 days but no later than 30 days after a sale is confirmed.
