SAXQUEST FREE CONCERT ARTIST SERIES – JEFF COFFIN

When: 2013-02-22

Its with GREAT enthusiasm that I invite you out to another wonderful event at Saxquest. This week on Friday (Feb 22) early evening from 5-6PM we’ll be presenting a Saxquest clinic with three-time Grammy award winning member of BELA FLECK & THE FLECKTONES, the DAVE MATTHEWS BAND and the Mu’tet – JEFF COFFIN. This is a very rare opportunity to talk one-on-one with one of today’s most in demand players.

As always, this event is FREE and OPEN to the public.

Coffin rejects all labels and categories other than “music” and “musician.” He has traveled the world with the FLECKTONES since 1997 and with the DAVE MATTHEWS BAND since 2008, performing with musicians of all walks.

Known for sometimes playing alto and tenor sax simultaneously, with a nod to Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Coffin seeks out the extraordinary in his saxophone sound and in his technique of improvisation. Reaching for the unique is something Jeff makes an integral part of both his playing and teaching.

Its such a tremendous thrill for us to bring such a fantastic event to you! If you haven’t been to a Saxquest event yet, be sure this one doesn’t pass you by. Please print and distribute the attached flier to as many people you know who may be interested. Thanks for your support!!!

I hope to see you at SAXQUEST this Friday – Feb 22 at 5pm.

Other upcoming events include:
Adam Larson Jazz Quintet on March 13 at 6-8PM
Diana Haskell Clarinet Masterclass on April 20 at 1-3PM
Tim Zavadil clarinet recital/clinic on June 8 at 1-3PM
